Avebury Global Meditation, Exploration

On Mon, 05 Jan 2004, I received an inquiry from Joachim Koch, a surgeon from Berlin, Germany. He asked for help getting a reading from the GCP data collected during a special time in July of 2002. First, some description paraphrased from his note, and then the results.

For some years I have engaged in research of certain phenomena in Southern England around the area of Stonehenge and Avebury. We have learned a lot in the past 12 years about human interaction with natural fields of all kinds, including creating and enforcing them. At some point it became clear that we should focus on experiments with these interactions, and we decided to place teams at old neolithic sites to perform coherent meditations.

This we did on July 24th, 2002. For this special date, we organized a world wide meditation chain one time around the planet. We named our project 'Project ASA' which stands for 'Project Avebury Stone Avenue'. As we could see by the incoming emails, there must have been many participants all over. We were especially happy about the participation of many members of Native Nations in various locations in America and Australia. Also, many participants and teams confirmed that they would do their meditation at sacred sites and power spots, such as the old mounds, stones, mountains, lakes and riversides.

The planned time for this meditation was 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm GMT. We with our team came together at this time among the old stones of Avebury, Wiltshire, South England. Beforehand, we had distributed a time table so that each team around the world could see when it was the right local time to link up with us in Avebury at the same time.

We know that many did so though it may be that some started earlier or joined us later that night. Additionally, there was high spiritual activity around that date of July 24th because of the preparations of that event, our presence in the area in a pre-meditative state, and because of the aftermath effect.

I have learned a bit about the GCP, and have tried to understand what you are providing on your websites (with partial success, to be honest) and have looked up the date for the time frame in question. Of course the interpretation of the graphs is not easy for me. So I would like to ask for your help. [The automatic daily graphs are too general for an assessment of the questions asked here.]

Is there any significant increase of activity of your REGs around the date of July 24th, 2002 with a core around midnight (towards July 25th) and the hours before and after?

This well-defined meditation event allows an analysis using our standard protocol, which summarizes the egg activity across seconds, to create a simple sequence of meanshift values along the time axis. The analysis here is an exploration that cannot be included in our formal database, but it is interesting as an example of organized spiritual engagement. Because the intended meditation activity was synchronized, the analysis is straightforward, and we look at the accumulated deviation during the specified hour from 11pm to midnight GMT. The result, shown in the first figure, is a striking, steady trend over the full hour. Had this been a prediction, we would say the result is significant, with a p-value of 0.9904, which is equivalent to odds of about 100 to 1 that the outcome is not just a chance fluctuation.

Avebury Global Meditation,
Exploration A look at the whole day provides some context, in which we see that the strong result during the specified hour is not strong in absolute terms, even though it is highly significant in the constrained predictiive moment.

The same group of people organized another meditation in 2004, and the following graph shows the egg response during that period of time. It is remarkably similar to the first global meditation. The trend has the same consistent character, which we have seen fairly frequently for global events. In 2004, it is not quite so strong, and would have a p-value of 0.88 (if a prediction had been made).
